Personal Statement:
A personal statement (essay) is required. Check out the helpful tips on
writing the personal statement.

Admission Requirements:
Students applying for Fall 2012 will have some changes in the
admissions requirements. See the UC website for all the details.

Summary of Changes:
Two subject tests will no longer be required.

Students must complete 11 of 15 required "a-g" courses by the end of
the junior year.

The California State University System has 23 campuses.  Students may
apply online at:
www.csumentor.edu  Additional information on each
campus is also available at this website.


COMMUNITY COLLEGES:
The California Community College system has over 100 campuses
throughout the state of California. Admission is offered to any student
who is a high school graduate, a person 18 years of age or any person
who has passed the California High School Proficiency Exam.

The community colleges offer a variety of programs to enable students
to transfer to a four-year college or university. Career programs are also
available as well as certificates of achievement for vocational programs.
Some campuses also have dorms for students.
